Back to School, Covered in Prayer & Ready for Purpose!
As summer comes to a close and a new school year begins, the Wateree Baptist Association Upper Division extends our prayers and best wishes to every student, parent, educator, administrator, and school staff member heading back to school.
A new school year brings new classrooms, new teachers, new friendships, new challenges, and new opportunities to grow. As our families prepare for the year ahead, we encourage you to begin this season with prayer, preparation, and a positive mindset.
A Few Back-to-School Tips for Our Families
Get back into a routine. Begin establishing consistent bedtimes and morning routines before the first day so everyone can start the year rested and ready.
Stay organized. Keep important school dates, assignments, activities, and events on a family calendar. A little planning can make busy weeks much easier.
Create a space for learning. Set aside a comfortable, distraction-free area at home for homework, reading, and studying.
Keep the conversation going. Ask your children about more than grades. Talk about their friendships, challenges, accomplishments, and how they are feeling about school.
Stay connected with the school. Get to know teachers, attend school events when possible, and keep communication open throughout the year. Education works best when families and schools work together.
Cover the school year in prayer. Pray for our students as they learn and grow, for parents as they guide and encourage, and for our teachers, administrators, bus drivers, counselors, support staff, and everyone who helps make our schools successful.
To every student: Believe in yourself, work hard, be kind, ask for help when you need it, and remember that one difficult day does not define your year.
May God grant our students wisdom, confidence, protection, and perseverance, and may He strengthen every person who has been called to educate, lead, serve, and support them.
