Many thanks to Rev. Dr. Capers and Zion Benevolent Baptist Church family for hosting our 131 Annual Session held Saturday, October 8 through Friday, October 14, 2011.
Our 2011 session centered around the theme “To Know Him”. Rev. Rickie Glenn, Pastor of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Cayce was the workshop leader for the week. Rev. Glenn used the book of Daniel to instruct the participants on how to know him: 1) build a stronger prayer life, 2) strengthen your faith in God and 3) count your blessings.
The Association Annual Banquet was held on Friday night at the James Clyburn Center on Parklane. Rev. Sammy Wade was the MC for the event Mimers from Jerusalem Baptist Church gave a heart felt praise. Rev. Ricky Ezell, Sr., Pastor of Central Baptist Church in Columbia was the speaker for the banquet.
